Lead Bank to Host 2nd Annual October First Friday Block Party

KANSAS CITY, MO (OCT 2017) Lead Bank, a locally owned financial institution dedicated to the needs of small businesses, will be hosting their second annual First Friday block party on Friday, October 6. Lead Bank is located at 1801 Main Street, in the heart of the Crossroads Arts District. Everyone is invited to celebrate Kansas City’s local artists, musicians and food from 6:00-10:30pm.

The community is invited to participate in two community art projects; a Tissue Paper Big Mouth where you will use colored tissue paper and plug into chicken wire creating a big mouth design, and the Horse Head String Art, guests will use colored thread tied onto a screw and weave it back and forth creating a horse head design, much like Lead Bank’s mascot. The community will also be able to enjoy a walkthrough artist village featuring visual and performing artists including: Seth M. Jones, Erika Lynnette Baker, Mark Anthony Exline, Larissa Uredi, Chico Capitán Sierra, Heidi Van & Fishtank Theatre.

Kansas City is encouraged to visit the American Fusion, Yummylicious Cookie Company and Taste of Brazil food trucks, and enjoy wine from Cooper’s Hawk Winery and Restaurant. Live music will begin at 5:30pm with the Battery Tour, followed by the highly talented and popular Katy Guillen and The Girls from 6:30-8:00pm, and finishing the night will be Funk Syndicate, who will begin at 8:30pm.
